Negroes at Auction.
The undermentioned slaves not having been sold as
heretofore advertised, at the Court House in Portsmouth, on
Wednesday, they WILL BE SOLD,
This Day, the 1st Jan.
At Tanner’s Creek Cross Roads, between the hours of 12 and 1
o’clock,
Viz:
SIPP, aged 21 years; SOLOMON, aged 19, and MARIA, aged 22—
the property of Richard Powell, dec’d,
William Browne.

This Day, the 1st Jan.
at 11 o’clock,
3 or 4 valuable SLAVES,
belonging to the estate of James Taylor, dec’d,
Terms—Cash.
At the same time and p lace,
WILL BE HIRED, for the ensuing year,
The residue of the Slaves
belonging to said estate, consisting of Men, Women, Boys and
Girls.
