    30 Dollars Reward.

    Runaway from the subscriber, on Friday night the 4th Sept. a negro man named

    SAM,

    who is about 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, 20 years of age, and light complected. Said negro has a down look when spoken to sharply; he has a mother living in Portsmouth, (at a Mr. Reid’s it is believed,) where it is supposed he is lurking about. The above reward will be given if he is secured in Norfolk Borough or County Jail, or delivered to the subscriber.
